League etiquette for your celebrity death pool

The difference between a fun league and a miserable one is rarely the software—it’s etiquette. Before the draft, agree how vetoes work, what counts as a valid pick, and what happens when life gets in the way (missed picks, late joins, admin turnover).

During the draft, be on time and respectful. Snake drafts take attention; holding up the room because you did not prep a list is how leagues fracture. After the draft, let the app be the bad cop for dates and points so you can stay the good cop in chat.

Finally, give admins grace. They are unpaid referees. If you want a rule changed, propose it between seasons, not mid-season—unless everyone agrees. Stable rules make for a pool people return to every year.
